Scope: Kambuku Consulting has undertaken technical due diligence assessments for a number of anaerobic digestion projects, producing biogas for onsite power and heat generation, producing biogas as a saleable product and as a means of waste-water treatment. The assessments use a structured Request for Information (RFI) process to manage and track project documentation and queries. Developer experience and key personnel are reviewed, along with the maturity and reliability of core technologies, including digesters, waste processing systems, biogas engines, gas cleanup, compressors, heat recovery, water treatment, and CO₂/CNG storage. Feedstock types and supply chain sustainability are evaluated to ensure reliable operations. Operational performance is assessed by comparing actual versus forecast yields, reviewing maintenance practices, operational expenditures, and construction quality. Environmental, health and safety compliance is verified, while supply and offtake agreements are also checked. Key financial model inputs, particularly maintenance reserves, are also verified. Non-intrusive site visits and due diligence reports are produced, clearly highlighting risks and providing actionable technical mitigation.
