​Small Hydro Due Diligence Assessment

Scope: Kambuku Consulting was requested to undertake a due diligence assessment of two existing small
hydro power projects located on the Ash River in South Africa by a potential investor. The review included assessments of the technologies selected, any outstanding risks remaining after completion of the EPC contracts and assessment of the performance of the projects compared to the design levels of performance. Comments were also requested on the likely future performance of the powerplants.
The assessments included non intrusive walkover site visits of the plants to verify the existing conditions of the plants and confirm that the required levels of maintenance were being
undertaken.
