Remedial Works Management

Scope: Kambuku Consulting was contracted by the client to provide oversight, checks and signoff of the remedial works being undertaken on a South African 84MW PV plant.
The remedial works consisted of a range of works required to bring the operations of the plant up to the standards expected of a good practice PV plant, compliant with the health and safety regulations as well as the South African grid codes, which included installation of a new CCTV system, replacement of faulty PV panels, services of the inverters, switchgear and transformers and an upgrade of the SCADA system.
With the assistance of technical partners Kambuku Consulting undertook reviews of the work undertaken by the contractor, undertook site visits to confirm that site reports aligned with actual results achieved and signed off milestones once the works were completed in accordance with the contract and with industry good practice.
