Scope: Kambuku Consulting was contracted by the client to assist with the
development of a 135MW wind and battery project plus a 50MWp PV project.
After assessing the level of development of the two projects Kambuku Consulting
developed a project development tool to manage and track the progress of
development of the different permits required for the development of PV and
wind projects in South Africa.
Kambuku Consulting also developed and ran the tenders required for the selection
of the PV and wind EPC contractors, owner’s engineers and lenders’ technical
advisors.
Kambuku Consulting assisted with the negotiation of the power purchase agreement (PPA) with the selected offtakers and drafted the technical aspects of the EPC and O&M contracts and associated technical schedules.
